Arno Ferrera's work focuses on touch, and the connection between individuals in body-to-body movement. He graduated in Physical Theatre at the Accademia Dimitri (CH) after ten years of gymnastics and six years of studies in baroque music at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana (CSI).
He chose Brussels as his base, and in 2015 he joined the contemporary circus company Un loup pour l'homme - founded by Alexandre Fray and Frédéric Arsenault - and participated in the international tours of the shows Face Nord and Rare Birds, later becoming artistic director and performer of the duo Cuir within the company.
Today, he shares the artistic direction of the Armour project with Belgian performer Gilles Polet. This project is produced by Les Halles de Schaerbeek (BE), where Arno is an associate artist for the period '23-'27 and contributes to the development of the circus and dance programming.
In parallel to his performance work, Arno develops projects that aim to create spaces for tactile encounters and artistic objects inside closed environments (mainly in prisons and psychiatric hospitals).
What he proposes with his projects is an invitation to surrender, to discover trust in others, and thus also to transform one's self-perception.

Le travail d'Arno Ferrera est centré sur le toucher, et la connexion entre individus dans le corps-à-corps. Il est diplômé en Physical Theatre à l'Accademia Dimitri (CH) après dix ans de gymnastique et six ans d’études en musique au Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana (CSI).
Il choisit Bruxelles comme base, et en 2015 il intègre la compagnie de cirque contemporain Un loup pour l’homme (fondée par Alexandre Fray et Frédéric Arsenault), et il participe aux tournées internationales des spectacles Face Nord et Rare Birds, pour après devenir directeur artistique et performeur du duo Cuir au sein de la compagnie.
Aujourd'hui, il partage la direction artistique du projet Armour avec le performeur belge Gilles Polet. Ce projet est porté en production déléguée par Les Halles de Schaerbeek (BE), où Arno est artiste associé et contribue au développement de la programmation cirque et danse pour la période '23-'27.
En parallèle de son travail performatif, Arno développe des projets qui visent à créer des espaces de rencontres tactiles et des objets artistiques à l’intérieur de milieux fermés (principalement en prisons et hôpitaux psychiatriques).
Ce qu'il propose avec ses projets est une invitation à l'abandon, à la découverte de la confiance en l'autre, et donc aussi à la transformation de la perception de soi.

Ha scelto Bruxelles come base e nel 2015 è entrato a far parte della compagnia di circo contemporaneo Un loup pour l'homme - fondata da Alexandre Fray e Frédéric Arsenault - partecipando alle tournée internazionali degli spettacoli Face Nord e Rare Birds, diventando poi direttore artistico e interprete del duo Cuir all'interno della compagnia.
